About Maltby

Maltby Fowler Rote is an artist living in San Francisco.  She holds a BA in Art History from the University of Georgia.  Prior to her career as an artist, Maltby worked in the Jewelry Department at Christie's in New York, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. 

My Story & Concept

l've always loved art... Something about from school to Christie's to SFMOMA.  Something about being inspired by how the world's art collectors actually live with art, they don't put it in storage or hide it behind glass.  

Story about trying to decorate your first house with your husband, wanting to find art you loved that would bring the space to life, but was attainable.
